Through perseverance and innovation, tribal gaming has become a successful industry that improves the lives of Native Americans and other Minnesotans across our state.
Minnesota’s 11 sovereign tribal nations operate gaming enterprises that:
Provide for tribal members’ essential needs and build community resiliency
Employ tens of thousands of Minnesotans, strengthen local economies and boost tourism
Share resources and support communities through donations and volunteerism
Fund efforts to preserve and celebrate Native cultures, languages and traditions
The Minnesota Indian Gaming Association – also known as MIGA – brings member tribes together to help educate Minnesotans about the impact of tribal gaming and speak with a unified voice on public policy important to all tribes.
