Responsible Gaming

Responsible gaming
For more than 30 years, tribal gaming operations have proven to be successful, safe entertainment destinations. Tribes take great pride in this track record.
Tribal gaming operations are committed to rigorous regulation from their own tribal policies, regulatory bodies and audits; U.S. Congress; the National Indian Gaming Commission; and the State of Minnesota.
Minnesota tribes also recognize the importance and responsibility of protecting gaming patrons and supporting safe, responsible gaming. Each tribe has its own responsible gaming program, such as self-exclusion programs, that allow individuals to opt-out of casino marketing and no longer be allowed entry into tribal gaming facilities. Resources such as gambling crisis hotlines and websites are often available at gaming enterprises in Minnesota.
MIGA is also an active member of the Minnesota Alliance on Problem Gaming, a statewide organization that works to raise public awareness for problem gambling, provide professional training for those who work with problem gamblers and advocate for treatment funding.
